Who are we?

We are a group of parents whose precious babies have died. Some of our babies died recently and some a long time ago.

Southampton Sands (Stillbirth and Neo-Natal Death Charity) meets once a month - always the 2nd Tuesday of every month. Support is also available online or by email and occasionally by telephone. We have some resources and information but mostly what you can expect is the kind of understanding that no-one but another bereaved parent can truly have ....... especially the feelings of loss, despair and isolation.

We hope to bring together people who have suffered the tragedy of the death of their child to share information, help and support each other. Please feel free to make comments; your suggestions and input are encouraged. We want this site to help you, to be what you need.

Sands supports parents and families through the experience of losing a baby. We are part of a national charity (registration 299679). Sands head office is in London and there are local groups all over the country who are able to offer a variety of services to families who need support.

Southampton Sands covers Southampton, Winchester, New Forest and Eastleigh. We work closely with Princess Anne and Winchester hospitals.
